I am Sergio Casado Castejón and I was born in the beautiful city of Barcelona, Spain, and after a Degree in Sciences Physical, specialty Astronomy and Astrophysics, I started to work in the world of Information Technology as System Administrator for Logic Control and for Software y Gestión Informática. In 1998 I started to work as a Project Manager in the software development area for Difusio &Telemarketing Grup, Marketing and Contact Center company.
In the year 2000, I moved to Madrid, Spain, to work as Project Manager / Senior Consultant of Technology and Finances in companies like El Corte Inglés, a retail company, and Indra, a company of consulting and technological development.
In 2003 I have obtained a Master Degree in Finances from Carlos III University.
In 2005 I worked as a Business Solution Manager in Europcar leading Information Systems department, working on development, management, deployment, and upgrading all the company's software.
From 2008 until 2011 I worked as Director of Information Systems (CIO) in Neo Advertising, a Swiss company of digital signage - DOOH, and in Grupo Interbus, a passenger transport company.
In March 2011, I moved to Milan (Italy) to work in Leroy Merlin Italy as Head of Technology and Innovation (CTO), leading the team for improvement and support the ICT in the headquarters (Milano) and in the 47 Leroy Merlin stores in Italy.
From July 2015 to January 2021, I was worked as Manager of Information Systems and Organization (CIO) in Dedar Group & Faubourg (Hermès Group - Paris) both working on the production of excellent fabrics, curtains, and wallpapers, used in luxury design for interiors.
I manage the Department of Information Systems and Organization, both for the headquarters in Italy and for branches and showrooms in France, United States, Germany, UK, Russia, Japan, and Dubai. The department offers ICT services that allow business growth and transformation through technological innovation.
My first task was to create the Department from scratch, so I developed these three main points:
- I have defined an Organization divided into the Application Area, which deals with Business Processes and the applications that support them, and Technical Area which innovates in ICT and Service Desk.
- I have created a Strategy in order to always allow all our users to develop their work with all the necessary information.
- I have implemented a Methodology of work involving People, Processes, and Technology to allows us to collect requests and develop them, providing ever feedback to our users.
With these main active points, I was able to develop successful projects such as:
- New ERP, WMS & PLM for the group (Dynamics 365) implementation between 2015 and 2020 and CRM (Dynamics CRM) between 2019 and 2020. In the beginning, I was in charge to map and update all business processes, drafting the Business Requirements to create the Request for Proposal for the software and partners' selection, and negotiating the Contract Agreement with the partner. To complete the project, I’m in charge of Blueprints validation, installing the environments and load the data, supervising user acceptance tests and training, and at last the cutover plan.
- Innovation & Digital Transformation: Responsible for managing the process of innovation and change management in the group; rethinking with our users the way to do things and sharing with our customers our processes and information, using web service, e-commerce, App, CRM services,.....
- Logistics: Integration ERP and WMS to use systems of vertical automated warehouse, Automatic Guided Vehicle, RFID, lift systems, PLC and packing line in our logistic center with 8.000m2 of warehouse
