Welcome

I'm Sergio Casado Castejón and you are seeing my Web Site.

I decided to create this website to share with you my ideas and thoughts, to tell who I am, what things I do and how I do, to share my experiences, to publish small articles where tell stories about my profession and my passion, the Information Technology, in their whole aspects, from technology and infrastructure, database, networking and security, processes and methodologies, to the more futuristic innovation, including also the management of a team.

My passion to create this website where convey my ideas and experiences, born of a lovely phrase of Walt Disney:

“Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”

Thus I am of the view that we should always be in motion, always traveling, we always learning and discovering, we shouldn't stop us ... Keep Moving Forward ... continue to move forward, we must go further.

We can also found this idea clearly in the poem Ithaka from Constantine Cavafy, Greek origin poet:

“As you set out for Ithaka
hope the voyage is a long one,
full of adventure, full of discovery….

…Hope the voyage is a long one.
May there be many a summer morning when,
with what pleasure, what joy,
you come into harbors seen for the first time…”

The longer the journey be, the more things we'll learn, the more things we'll see, the more experiences we'll have ... wiser we become.

Now, I would like to speak just a moment about the picture you're seeing in the header of this website, because I think that this photography can to convey the earlier ideas together, in other words, Keep Moving Forward, and as you well know... a picture is worth a thousand words.

Giovinazzo

This photograph was performed in the sunset of April 23, 2011, the day of St. George in Giovinazzo, which's located in the region of Apulia in Italy. I did it in its promenade where you can see all the beauty of the Adriatic Sea near the cathedral, was also performed right in the direction where is Ithaca, the Odysseus's Ithaca...

I think that in this picture it's possible to see all the sense of the journey to Ithaca, that is to say, to keep going always discovering new places and learning new things, to above all.. to keep doing to work our mind ... And also, with regard to this website, this picture has transmitted to me the inspiration to create its stylesheet page and its template, with the target to become this website in a ship that will carry us on this travel.

Now, I can only thank you for the time spent reading these lines which I hope have been of your interest. Thank You!
